Digipak

How the digipak was made

After recording had been done and all the footage was put onto the editors computer I had to start making the digipak for our project. At the time we did not have a proper idea set for the design so I had gone ahead and made the very basics of the digipak which was the legal information, barcode, restriction and production logo's for the song. I had also added a QR code which would direct you to the original song on Youtube which is the same QR code below.

We wanted to keep a similar colour scheme that we had originally wanted at the beginning of the project which was orange and green so I had made a gradient to set onto each of the covers apart from the inside left because we had other plans for that section at the time.

The editor had made a few drafts of the project and uploaded them to our teams channel so we could preview the footage. We had chosen some scenes to take and use on the digipak so once the times of the scenes was found we had gone through and took screenshots of the scenes to use on the digipak. This included a new back cover, front cover and inside left. I had also added the name of the song and originally thought about having it go around Ray's head but changed it to what you can see now.

The finished project was darker then we wanted as there was a difference between photoshop and the printer colour quality which made Ray almost a black outline on the back cover. Ray had also made a disk that was originally to be used for recorded but ended up also being added in the digipak. This was not a print on either as it was a physical object that we had for the days.
