Music Video self Evaluation
I feel the beginning goes well until 14-15 seconds in when it goes from the live performance audio to the song audio which has a obvious change where it goes from a stadium echo and cheering to dead silence.
At the 1 minute mark Ray (actor in orange) goes from arguing with Lauren (actor in green) to packing a suit case. The problem I have spotted is that Lauren is on the right of the case in the 1st shot, walking around to the right from the left in the 2nd shot and then back to the left in the 3rd. I see this as the 2nd shot should have been changed to a moment when Lauren is already on the right instead of walking over to it.
I live how in the beginning Ray is tearing down pictures off the wall and stops on one of them to look at in more detail and to then see the same picture later on at the 1:16 mark.
The transition at 1:20 from the black fade to the stage scene works well as it allows a moment of silence for the audio to change from the song audio to the live performance audio which makes the change less noticeable. After that at the 1:27 mark, you can tell the audio levels are equal as the switch from live performance audio to song audio is less noticeable.
At the 2:37 mark you can see song of the railing for the black curtains which were up to keep it blacked out, I feel works well as the live performance audio is in at this point which makes it feel more like it was on a stage.
At 3:37 you can see a fade from the stage scene to black for the name of the song to be shown, I feel the screaming from the live performance audio fits well as it is the end of the song and it doesn't leave it silent for the scene.
Digipak Self Evaluation
With the digipak, not all the side gradients match up correctly so in the future I would prefer to have more of a idea to go off of as I was not planning at the beginning to have the gradients on every section. You can clearly see some of the gradient cut off from where the colours were not exactly the same. The printed version of the digipak does have some imperfections and differences from the digital copy and this was because photoshop to the printers we used to not have the same colour schemes which means the colours would not be 100%, this was shown for the back cover where Ray is almost a black outline. I also feel the names of other songs included in the original album is a bit much especially to be following the shape of Ray's head.
