What was our inspiration?

We considered the meaning of the colour pallet which was inspired by the consistent colours in Alec Benjamin's Music Video "Mind Is A Prison".

Who is Alec Benjamin?

Did we get any inspiration from Waterparks?

A massive inspiration was "Dream Boy" by Waterparks. Getting to know their existing music videos and their meanings inspired and set us on our course of what would fit.

This song was part of a album called Fandom which also included [Reboot] which is one of the reasons why we looked upon this video for inspiration, we had also felt that they linked.

My Job Role

What roles did I have?

Camera Operator - Operating the camera meant that I needed to make sure that no one is going out of shot, nothing is in shot that shouldn't be, the shot is set up correctly before recording and making sure the quality of the footage comes out right.

Digital Artist - Being the digital artist meant that I was going to be designing the digipak while the editor is creating the finished product.

Because none of my Job Roles had any pre-production I had taken over the roles of:

- Call Sheets

- Contacts & Contributors

- Fake & real budget

Contacts and Contributors

Locations and props

Our locations and props did not cost that much as the locations were either cast houses or College property. Everything did require and have its own risk assessments and location recces which can be seen in the Pre-Production folder which can be found at the bottom of the Context page.

Location

For our locations we had planned to record in we had to get someone old enough to sign for us to record knowing what locations we wanted to record in and at what times. This was easy enough as the locations we needed were cast members houses so we had to get their parents to sign off which they were happy to do so.

Props

Props cost little as they were either already in our possession before hand or had been purchased at a shop before the shoot. Any and all props that were purchased were used and everything that is re-usable is still being used as personal household items.
